"For years, I have given motivational talks and presentations in which I have shared the great lessons life has given me through the activities I have performed outside of my profession: caving and adventures in nature. To perform these activities safely, I began a long process of learning and training, and ended up becoming certified as an instructor in rescue and search and rescue. For years, I taught many people the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy all of these adventures safely, but at one point I discovered that everything I learned about safety and rescue was influencing other aspects of my life. My way of talking, thinking, feeling and relating to others was changing. I began to incorporate concepts, attitudes and skills from the rescue world into my daily life. I was gradually incorporating ideas that seemed to be exclusive to lifesafety into other areas of my life. Fear management, teamwork, planning and preparation, precise and clear communication, prioritization and self-care ... My personality, work style and attitude towards life were enriched with these valuable concepts and I began to share these lessons in blog articles, social media posts and motivational talks.
